The Anti-Hijab Protests in Iran, The Back-Story

People of Iran are taking to the streets against the killing of Mahsa Amini, a woman who was assaulted & killed by the moral-Police for not wearing a head scarf while in public. Anti-Hijab protests are seen all over the country in support of women's right and against the moral policing by the Islamic republic of Iran.

Women are seen removing and burning their head-scarfs in public, and some even cutting their hairs off their head as a protest against the oppressive governance and the brutal killing of the 22 year old Mahsa Amini. However the killing hasn't stopped the police to continue their 'duty' and said many more were killed either during the protest clashes or due to assault that happened with Mahsa Amini.

From the common people of Iran, to the renowned people from different sectors of life such as actors, religious and political figures have joined against the movement of the moral police quoting, 'woman likes freedom'.
