Temple Town Horror, Dharmasthala - Karnataka Govt Finally Forms an SIT

After nearly 16 days of inaction by the Karnataka police & state government, the CM of Karnataka finally approves the formation of an SIT to handle the series of rape & murder cases in the temple town of Dharmasthala. You can read the previous report here. A former sanitation worker in Dharmasthala has alleged that he was made to bury several bodies, many of them victims of rape and murder. It’s been over two weeks since he filed an FIR, but no exhumation has taken place yet.

The Karnataka state government finally forms a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to handle the serial murder case of Dharmasthala. The development of this case began when an unidentified person presented himself in front of Supreme Court lawyer Dhananjaya and explained the massive scale of the series of rape-cum-murders at the temple town of Dharmasthala, in the Dakshina-Kannada district of Karnataka.
