Temple Town Horror, Dharmasthala - Former Temple Worker turned Whistleblower Spills Beans

A former sanitation worker (whistleblower) made a shocking revelation and filed a complaint with Dharmasthala police, claiming he was coerced into secretly disposing of multiple dead bodies over several years. As per the latest update, the Modi government has taken note of the horror and asked the Karnataka government to take swift action.

In the above video conference held by Times Now, at 18:35 we can witness the attitude of the state government representative, Mr. Amirth Shenoy, casually saying that the government will take action in a couple of days and replying 'maybe' when asked whether the police have provided the protection to the whistleblower. The very attitude of the representative of the Karnataka state government exposes the lack of interest in the matters related to such numerous crimes over the past decades, which eventually went down the drain, remained unsolved, or were abruptly closed without any closure.

The whistleblower did approach the supreme court lawyer KV Dhananjaya and narrated the whole story a few weeks before the 22nd of June 2025, when they had released a letter stating this sensational case. It is said that the whistleblower knew that the lawyer was aware of the history of such cases in the region of Dharmasthala and knew he would be the right person to approach, as he would be safe during the legal trial away from possible harm. Lawyer Dhanjaya says he took a few weeks of time to ascertain the claims, prepare the roadmap of the case, and also ensure the informant's safety before bringing the case to public view.

The case was registered on the 3rd of July, 2025, and the whistleblower, along with the self-exhumed skeletal remains of a body that he claims to have been buried decades ago, was also handed over during the 1 hour and 20 minutes of recorded statement in front of the magistrate in the Belathangady court of law. The magistrate is said to have handed over the skeletal remains produced by the informant to the police to record & proceed with further actions.

The issue being raised by the lawyers & media of this case is that the police have yet to start the investigation, which otherwise is an immediate step of the process. There is also the accusation that the police in the region do not proceed without the approval of the temple's supreme authority.

In the confession to the statement by the informant in front of the lawyer, it is also disclosed that prominent people were involved in the case, and he was forced to bury them (between the years 1998 and 2014) while he was being employed at the temple management; if not, he & his family would also face the same consequence as the dead bodies. Fearing for his life, he disposed of those bodies by burying them and sometimes even cremating them when asked to do so.

All this was deep in the forest area around the temple town, while being away from public view or reach. He is also believed to have said that in the year 2014, he, along with his family, eloped from Dharmsthala, fearing for their dear lives, and have been living in a neighboring state in secrecy until he faced & confessed to lawyer Dhananjaya out of pure guilt for those crimes he was forced to do.

With this update, everyone are awaiting the authority's & government's actions on this matter.
