In a typical Chinese superiority complex against the whole of the world, they tried to take on a century-old German automaker and became a laughing stock.
Huawei's attempt to market their product by comparing it against a top automaker, Maybach, would have been a good idea only if they had not resorted to bullying. But, as many times in the past, they made exactly the same mistake, and it backfired.
Not only that, but in the process they damaged a Chinese citizen's private car by renting it and refusing to fix the damages. The PR programs arranged in such fashion have only brought bad light to the Chinese automakers, as they all follow a similar pattern of bullying and playing superior. It is the same reason why many countries hate China and it seems like they are not learning any lesson from decades.
