Indian national elections that ended on June 1, 2024 saw a significant change in political dynamics from the previous elections in 2019. BJP lost 63 seats & is no longer the single majority, thus leading for a coalition as in NDA.
Congress almost doubled their seats, however not enough traction to advance to form a government even with the I.N.D.I alliance. However, its major ally SP gained a significant seats in the BJP dominated state Uttar Pradesh as the saffron party lost almost half its seats.
