Rally Estonia, the round 8th of the 2023 WRC season was an event that is enjoyed by all. The smooth flowing rounds of the countryside witnessed to some great action.
However the home runner, Ott Tanak's luck seem to have ran out this time as his car developed some critical snag early into the rally at initial shakedown stages and the engine had to be replaced eventually. This resulted in a 5 minute time penalty, as with it any scope to be competitive for the weekend event.
Championship leader & title defender, the young flying Finn, Kalle Rovenpera maintained his dominance throughout the rally and won the event with maximum points (all top points including the maximum from the race concluding power stage). With this victory, he stands very confidently at 170 points into the championship's overall points, much ahead of 115 from his team-mate Elfyn Evans.
The Belgian, & Hyundai Motorsport's driver, Thierry Neuville finished second on the podium, who now is third on the championship points at 112 season overall.
