Over-ruling the chaos in FIA & WRC Events, the round 7 of 2012 season kicks off in just 2 days from this moment. Rally New Zealand with chief promoter Brother makes it, an one of the scenic stages along the sea-lined and rich green curvy mountain gravel roads. The roads are very similar to Finland, minus the treacherous landscapes found in here. Almost all drivers love these roads, experienced or not, is what makes it a must have on the calendar.

Joy is doubled when one can find exceptionally enthusiastic local and international fans alongside the stages/roads to find their heroes charging past those flowing curvy gravel surfaced country roads and small stretches on tarmac sections too. It is one of a kind to watch, for sure!

This years rally has about 14 WRC cars fighting for the top spot, five in S2000 [SWRC] class, and 18 production class, out of which 9 competing for points in PWRC, the rest of the field with 2WD cars for a grand total of 42 cars lined-up in the start line. Well, thats a treat for the eyes and ears.. isn't it! The highlights of this rally is the return of Dani Sordo in Prodrive's Mini WRC, Louise Cook's entry in production car [sans points scoring], Colin's younger brother along with P.G.Anderson in the factory team Proton Satrio Neo S2000 cars.

This rally was first induced into the WRC in 1977, and ever since, it was cherised both by drivers and its fans. The previous winner Jari.M.Latvala is the one to beat here and every one among the top 5 in the drivers list are anticipated to make it to the top, also not forgetting Dani Sordo, who is equally capable. VW Motorsports will be absent from this round, as they seem little too busy in developing the much awaited Polo R WRC in the coming season. Well it is quite a task in developing a WRC car ain't it!?
