One of the ill-fated victims, Smt. Mahalakshmi, from the tragic accident at Huskur's Madduramma temple, who lost what would have been her bright future, is now bedridden for life. Completely neglected by the authorities, including the temple administration & police, she is now at the mercy of people begging for donors to help her life out.
It has been informed by the victim's husband that the jurisdictional police are yet to include her in the list of the tragedy's victims, and the lethargy of their inaction looks like they are motivated or compelled not to do so. A private hospital is said to have quoted 25 lakhs for her treatment, and they are in such a financial situation that they have been unable to even bear the rent of their current home ever since the accident.
The married couple have also been ousted by their parents & relatives, as they belong to distinctively different castes and have no moral & financial support, as they are now outcasts. Her cries are not falling on their deaf ears, and hence they are now seeking help from the general public.
