It is the day to cast your vote for the Karnataka Assembly Elections Today; May 10, 2023.

 TODAY is an OFFICIAL (PAID) HOLIDAY, to ensure there will be no reasons for not Casting your Vote.

Casting your vote for electing your candidates to see the subsequent government you would desire begins all today, so do not forget or ignore to exercise your rights today.

Timings: Voting Booths will be operational between 07:00 AM till 6:00 PM, 10th May 2023.

How to cast your vote today?

    Necessary Documents you need to carry are,

  1. your EPIC - Election Photo Identity Card, in short your Voter's Identity-Card or Voter Card.

    1. Can't find your EPIC, Download here (Visit https://electoralsearch.in/ )  and PRINT it or simply show it whenever asked in the process.

    2. Mention these basic 4 details:
      1. Your Name
      2. Father/Husband Name
      3. Age / Date of Birth &
      4. State/Region
      5. Press Search button
    3. You will be displayed with One or more results from the details provided before, select your's from the list and note down the Polling Station, verify your Assembly Constituency and click the View Details button on the left (marked in red)

    4. Download & Print your copy to proceed further.

  2. Additionally (OPTIONAL), any other government issued Photo-Identity card, not absolutely necessary if you have a valid Election Commission issued EPIC.
  3. Voter Slip from the Electoral List - This can be obtained from the counters, setup by the Municipal Authority or from various Political Parties near the Voting booth (if you have not already been issued by the officials from Municipal Authority).

What if you don't have an EPIC?
  1. You can use your Aadhaar, Passport, Driving Licence, PAN or any other Government issued ID card and cast your vote, provided your name is in the electoral list.

How to go to your correct Voting Booth?
  1. You can download Chunavana mobile App developed by KSRSAC KGIS for Election Commission of India. or
  2. Visiting the official website of Election Commission of India at https://electoralsearch.in/ 

Where to Cast your Vote?
  1. After collecting your Voter Slip along with your EPIC or any of the Valid ID mentioned above, arrive at your respective Voting Booth and the officials there will help you identify your correct booth if there are multiple Voting Chambers.

  2. Submit your Voter Slip and your EPIC or any other Valid ID (as discussed above).
  3. Official will mark your finger tip with indelible ink.

  4. DO NOT FORGET TO COLLECT YOUR ORIGINAL ID's BACK.
  5. You will be directed to the Shielded Vote Casting Chamber by an official.

  6. You will find EVM (Electronic Voting Machine) placed behind a privacy shield.

    1. Identify your Candidate you are wanting to Vote for and press the respective button ON THE SAME ROW.
    2. You will hear a LONG BEEP confirming your Vote being registered and you can also view display on the Printer Machine (VVPAT, Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trailplaced next to it.
    3. You are now done with Casting your VOTE. Congratulations! Now you can leave the chamber.
  7. AGAIN, DO NOT FORGET TO COLLECT YOUR ORIGINAL ID's BACK if you haven't already.
  8. After Casting your Vote, you need to vacate the premises immediately, to avoid crowding up and for other security reasons.

Additional Details:

  • If you are 80yrs of age or above, you can also register for a pickup & drop facility
  • Private vehicles will not be allowed within 100 meters from around the Polling booths. A dedicated parking area should be in place to facilitate the voters.
  • All government offices, colleges, institutions and private establishments will be closed, except essential service sectors.
  • If you encounter any issues, you can reach out to the booth officer(s) for help.
