New Delhi, April 26, 2016: Cougar Motorsport Pvt. Ltd., the organizers of the Force Gurkha RFC India, have announced Wockhardt Hospitals as the medical partner for the third edition of India’s toughest off-road motorsport event. This is the second consecutive year that Cuncolim-based NUSI Wockhardt Super Speciality Hospital will be joining forces with the organizers to ensure that proper medical facilities are in place throughout Force Gurkha RFC India 2016 that will be held in Goa from 22nd July to 29th July.

Force Gurkha RFC India is the India Chapter of the iconic Rainforest Challenge of Malaysia, which is counted among the top 10 toughest motor races in the world and has 25 editions worldwide. The event comprises of around 24 tasks, or Special Stages, in which the competing teams’ driving and vehicle recovery skills are tested under extreme off-road conditions. The levels of difficulty keep increasing as the challenge progresses. Therefore, it is imperative to have a competent partner to ensure adequate medical care for all the participants, including competitors, organizers and touring adventurers.

NUSI Wockhardt Super Sociality Hospital, which is a leading and preferred healthcare provider in Goa, handled the crucial task of providing medical assistance to the participants in the 2015 edition of the event in an extremely competent manner. Therefore, they have been selected as the medical partner for Force Gurkha RFC India 2016 as well. Apart from deploying a specialized medical team at the challenge locations, the hospital will provide a fully-equipped ambulance throughout the event in order to deal with medical contingencies.
Cougar Motorsport’s Founder & Director Mr. Ashish Gupta said, “On the first day of the event, we have a tough round of vehicle scrutiny to ensure that the vehicles meet all the requirements, including the safety mandates, of the competition. Moreover, we undertake safety measures throughout the event to ensure the well-being of the participants. But RFC India is a very challenging off-road motorsport event wherein each stage has its own complexity and keeps the competitors constantly on their toes. Last year, we were highly impressed with the utmost support that we received from NUSI Wockhardt Hospital. Their team ensured that even the smallest of medical issues were given prompt attention. I am happy that they have agreed to be our medical partner this year as well because I am confident that their highly competent team will easily manage any medical situation that may arise.”
Force Gurkha RFC India was launched in 2014 as India’s first international off-road motorsport event  where the competing teams have to undergo a series of challenges over 8 days and the team with the maximum points at the end of all the tasks emerges as the winner. The event attracts attention of off-roaders and motorsport enthusiasts from across the country with competition entries coming from individuals, prominent off-road clubs and automobile manufacturers. This year, around 25 teams are expected to take part in the competition and the top Indian competitor of the event will be given an automatic free entry to the mother event which will be held in Malaysia at the end of the year.
Mr. Vinod Sawantwadkar, Center Head, NUSI Wockhardt Super Speciality Hospital, said, “Wockhardt Hospitals is a well-established healthcare service provider, having a strong hold in the western parts of the country. With NABH accreditation, world-class infrastructure and healthcare services falling under the framework of international standards, Wockhardt Hospitals have always tried to uplift the quality of lives of their patients and valued them above all. It is an honor for us to be a part of such an extraordinary event and our specialized medical team at RFC India 2016 will handle the medical problems at the off-road event as quickly and effectively as possible, just like last year.”
