Freddy Loix Wins the sixth round of the European Rally Championship, 2013 - Geko Ypres Rally, Belgium. The two day rally begun yesterday evening, and the since the opening stage, Freddy took the lead and maintained to the finish of the rally tonight.
It was also the first world staging of the R5 cars, the M-Sport's Ford Fiesta R5 & Peugeot 208 T16, which took to the stages before the '0' cars. Infact, the mud drawn due to these cars with rains, made the surface of the asphalt rally an even playground. However the local star, who has more than 7 wins here, snatched one more.
Molly Taylor retired on the opening stage of the final day, SS5, says, "I have no words! Took a big cut and a wheel dragged us into a ditch on
the inside. Thats where we stayed. Gutted that our rally is over."
The rally also saw the former PWRC champion Hayden Paddon, who started off well, but crashed today in SS14 and retired. He was in 4th overall at that point of time.
