Citroen has finally released the pictures of newly developed Citroen C3 WRC. Kris Meeke was behind the wheel for the first gravel outing of the new 2017 spec machine. Citroen had already began testing on tarmac last week near Paris. As per the new regulation car looks aggressive in its camouflaged livery.
Its a treat for rally fans, as only few days earlier Volkswagen had also revealed the concept sketch of Polo WRC. If you missed it find it in our previous article here. Although there is no official word from Citroen about technical details of the car. As the car is in development mode, it is likely to get more updates soon from more testing. These WRC cars are said to be the fastest machines in the history. But along with that many critics are also being heard about safety and behavior of the cars. But for now lets keep it aside and enjoy these new monsters on the block.
Citroen also revealed this years WRC programme as their contesting another two rounds. Rally Portugal and Rally Poland. Kris Meeke, Stephane Lefebvre and Khalid Al-Qassimi will be contesting in Portugal and Craig Breen will replace Kris Meeke for Poland. The Citroen squad is run by PH-Sport as partial WRC 2016 programme.
