In a major twist to the Dharmasthala temple town's massive scale murder & burial case, the special investigation team arrested the whistleblower after exhuming 17 sites over a period of 12 days. His hidden identity was also revealed as CN Chinnaya, and the police protection was also retracted after he was taken into custody as the exhumation was majorly considered as a failure.
However, it is important to note that this is still in the investigation phase & no conclusion is arrived as of yet.
Sujatha Bhat & her deceased daughter, Ananya Bhat, are a few names that made sensationalized news during this phase. However, now Sujatha Bhat says that she never had a daughter and also claims various versions of herself in front of various people/media. But, she finally reveals that she did all this to grab attention of her ancestral land being sold/donated to the Dharmasthala temple administration.

He claims that he has been charged as a rowdy-sheeter, as he stood strongly behind the incident ever since, against all odds & powerful people from the temple town.
Dr. CS Dwarakanath, a seasoned politician & lawyer, explains why Sameer was late to appear before the police upon the notice. He also says that their fight is for the deceased women, who were either assaulted or raped or both before they were found dead in circumstances that resembled murder, and not against any religious beliefs or any particular set of people.
