Asia’s second-longest and the world’s tallest aqueduct is now operational in Karnataka. Spanning 10.47 km across Gubbi Taluk in Tumkur district, the 40-metre-high structure is part of the ₹1,200 crore Yettinahole Integrated Drinking Water Project.

Launched in 2018 and completed in 2023, the aqueduct will carry 3,300 cusecs of water, benefitting 75 lakh people across seven drought-prone districts. The project was recognised with the ISDA INFRACON National Award 2025 for excellence in safety and technology.
