On Sunday, 19th May 2023, a drunk minor son drove his father's Porsche supercar at atrocious speeds in the city roads of Pune that hit a motorcyclist killing him and his riding-pillion a young woman on the spot of the accident.

The incident took place in the wee hours of around 2am, when the 17 year old drove his father's Porsche after consuming alcohol in the city's pub with his friends. It is also important to note that the Porsche had no registration plate on it when it got involved in this tragic incident that took two lives, almost instantly.

Police say that the 17 year old managed to obtain a bail within hours on Sunday and was let off after a 300 word essay on road accidents, a 15-day traffic assistance term & counselling for his alcoholism. Netizens of India bashed the police, the judge & the government for having the teenage minor alcoholic killer driver to have been let off without a trial despite it being a Sunday (a non working day). The owner of the car, the juvenile's father was taken into custody soon after and is subjected to judicial trial.

An eyewitness explains the happenings and how the culprit was nabbed due to the fact that he couldn't get away as the car was disabled since the airbags were deployed.

Anis Awadhiya's family conveyed their sorrow for the untimely death of their loved one on May 21 in Umaria, Madhya Pradesh, which was followed by the sad Pune accident and the continuing inquiry process. Ashwini Koshta and Anis Awadhiya were killed in the early hours of May 19 when their motorcycle was hit by an expensive car hit them close to Kalyani Nagar in Pune. 

It is also said that the culprit was fed by the police of Yerawada with pizza and burgers which could reduce the chances of alcohol content from the blood tests.
