Force Motors has just announced the launch of its Urbania range of commuter van(s), prices starts at Rs 28.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Urbania will powered by the classic Mercedes-derived CR 2.6L diesel engine that produces 113 BHP and 350 Nm, which specification matches its existing engine of its vehicle portfolio.
The T1N platform new-generation platform upon which the Urbania is developed was showcased at the Auto Expo 2020. Showcasing modular monocoque architecture designed with a 2-box construction, the van will be made available in three variants: a short wheelbase 10-seater, a medium wheelbase 13-seater and a long wheelbase 17-seater.
Designed with help around the globe, Force Motors built Urbania will be the first vehicle in its category to offer crash and rollover compliance with airbags for the driver and co-driver. It also features industry leading technologies such as with ventilated disc brakes all around supported by ESP, ABS, EBD and ETDC. Urbania also features independent front suspension with transverse springs, a first in its segment.
A dedicated manufacturing facility for the Urbania is setup for the new platform vehicles. The first phase of the plant has an installed capacity of 1,000 units per month, which can be increased to 2,000 units per month.

Medium wheelbase 13-seater - Rs. 28.99 lakh
Long wheelbase 17-seater - Rs. 31.25 lakh
