Mercedes-Benz EQS 53 4 MATIC variant being launched today is the first all-electric AMG EQS 53, which comes with a 107.8kWh battery pack, dual motors (both front and rear axle, AWD) The EV peaks at 761Hp/560kW and 1020Nm of torque, with a performance figure at 0-100kmph at 3.4 seconds (till 30% battery SoC) and a top speed limited to 250kmph.
Priced at 2.45 Crore, the Mercedes-Benz EQS 53 4matic will be the highest priced EV so far to be ever launched in India, however it is also placed at the finest and ultra-premium segment and also the longest driving range promised at around 529-586kms per full charge.
EQS 53 4 MATIC sits on a set of beautifully sculpted 21inch wheels, with run-flat tyres and a 610 litres of boot space. It also gets the HEPA cabin air filter & rear-axle-steering as standard. The 4-wheel steering is to maneuvre the mega-sized car which helps with relative ease around tighter roads is going to be a relief to the driver.What Mercedes claims as "A perennial pioneer in occupant safety" comes with a host of active driver assist safety systems such as,

The car has the best intelligent computing onboard, with multi-layer information display on the dash, with "zero layer" where the most important applications are always displayed on the top of others to aid the driver with the best info that would be necessary. EQS also also uses facial recognition to set the driver profile and adjust according to their settings once seated into the driver's seat.
Mercedes-Benz is going to setup 100 chargers with 22kW AC outlets for the inbuilt charger in its EQS & upcoming EV models and also more than 20 60kW Fast DC chargers. Another 20+ numbers of 180kW Ultra-Fast DC charging dispensers will also be setup with a 15 crore investment ear-marked for its charging network by the end of 2022.
Mercedes-Benz has set up a road-map for mobility requirements with sustainability. By the end of 2022 all their manufacturing will be carbon-neutral across the globe, and by 2025 50% of their sales volumes will comprise EV's. By 2030 MB they will be 100% electric vehicle ready, wherever the markets are ready to adopt and by 2039 they will be carbon-neutral.
