Rallye Deutschland, the 10th round in the championship series of WRC, packed a fun & thrilling action for Saturday. Day's early rain made wet roads with mud drawn by the passing cars cutting the corners, a bigger challenge for the following few unlucky ones. Retirement list grew as the day progressed, right from the top of the challenge to the drivers in the junior cars.
Ott Tanak opened the day with a lead and impressively maintained it so far, while the reigning champion Sebastien Ogier was complaining about his lack of confidence in this MSport's Ford Fiesta WRC and finished the day in 3rd. Andreas Mikkelsen had a successful rally so far, and is very strongly performing in 2nd. Thierry Neuville, the new championship contender had to retire after his car's wheel got detached from the suspension due an impact in SS9.
Sunday will decide the winner, with four more stages, of 51.90 competitive kilometres and the bonus points live TV Power Stage.
