Gaurav Gill Geared Up For APRC Title Hunt

Indian ace rally driver and APRC 2013 champion Gaurav Gill is all set for 2016 APRC season. He wants to put couple of bad seasons aside and fight for glory this year. It will be his sixth full Asia Pacific Rally Championship campaign this year. After winning title in 2013 the later two seasons did not go according to plan. He struggled to keep up with his more experienced team mates as they had more stage miles in the car.

This year Gaurav Gill faces more challenges. He has to adapt to the new Skoda Fabia R5 machine. Where as his new team mate Fabian Kreim has more experience in the car. But Gill is confident that he can show his pace in the new car

Gaurav Gill said "It will be a fresh challenge for me. The car is new which I have never driven before, and a new team-mate who has had considerable experience in the R5 which is very different from the R4 that I was driving. The previous two seasons haven’t been good for me, but I want to put all that behind and focus on the 2016 championship."

Gill's new team mate this year is 23 year old German driver Fabian Kreim.  He previously drove for Skoda Auto Deutschland in German Rally Championship and finished second with five rally wins. APRC 2016 kicks off this month in New Zealand. The six round championship will conclude in India with Rally Chikmagalur.
